Things We Left Behind
03:49
|

Standing in and endless line
It's misery you know
But all will come and go before my eyes
And when the time arrives, the memories return with images that failed to realize
Living every day in fear
The misery it seems, to haunt the broken dreams that we don't show
And all that I can hear is deafening decay
Fading to the point of letting go
One more time
Circling the drain inside my mind
so we could survive
one more time
Longing for
Dreaming of the things we left behind
And one more time
Circling the drain inside my mind
So we could survive
There's no more time
Longing for
Dreaming of the things we left behind

Take your dreams far away
The only plan is escape
All your love is gone
It dried up, so come on now
I am a robot and I'm a believer
Take me out of town
Before you know it the bottle is flowin'
Turn the ocean brown
You are not in control
That's the first delusion to go
All the pain that you have wrought
Reckoning is all we sought now
I am a robot and I'm a believer
Take me out of town
Before you know it, the bottle is flowin'
Turn the ocean brown
I am a robot, but you're the deceiver
And you've lost your crown
Before you know it, the nautilus chose it
To turn the ocean brown
What do you think will become of me
After nothing else is left to see
What do you think will become of you
When your empty sacrament is through
Take your dreams far away
The only plan is escape
All your love is gone
It dried up, so come on now
I am a robot and I'm a believer
Take me out of town
Before you know it, the bottle is flowin'
Turn the ocean brown
I am a robot, but you're the deceiver
And you've lost your crown
Before you know it, the nautilus chose it
To turn the ocean brown
Turn the ocean brown
Turn it upside down
Turn the ocean brown

Shooting Star

Shooting star calls me home away from everything I've seen
I have died a thousand times awake in this dream
All alone is what I'm meant to be
Set me free of the curse of being real
Clouds go by my window
It will never be the same
Clouds go by my window pane
In this space I feel at home
Locked alone in my own mind
Without the hope of escape
It's all true
Oh how I envy you
Dark star
Dark star
Dark Star
Dark star
Satellite beams the signals to the spaces in between
Architects that write the code
Omnipotent machines
But all alone is what I'm meant to be
Set me free of the pain of being real
Clouds go by my window
It will never be the same
Clouds go by my window pane
But from the void there shines a light
Oh my perfect satellite
You have come to set me free
All I do
Oh I do for you
Dark Star
Dark star
Dark Star
Dark Star

Open up your mind
Close your eyes and see
I am everyone
Everyone is me
So much sorrow
So much pain
And tomorrow it all starts again
Carry on Lost Moon Leaders
We understand you'll never leave us
All this time I've been wondering where I belong
Giving rise to destruction while trying to be strong
Every night I just wish that you felt the same
Cos' I know what I've lost we can reclaim
Carry on Lost Moon Leaders
We understand you'll never leave us
So Go
Open up your mind
For now
Close your eyes and see
But still
I am everyone
Some how
Everyone is me
We need you
So much sorrow
To believe
So much pain
It's ending
And tomorrow
There's reprieve
It all starts again
Carry on Lost Moon Leaders
We understand you'll never leave us again

Throw what you think you know in the fire
And all we ever wanted was the truth
There's nothing that belongs to you
And all we ever wanted was the truth
We'll sail the open seas of our minds
But don't be surprised at what we find
It's all we've ever known inside
It's everything we've been denied
If you can't comprehend just please try
They set our world aflame with their lies
Cos' nothing is so real as our minds
Yeah nothing is so real you will find
I have regrets
And we forget
All we only want is to be free
But we're the only ones who can't see it
